You know the guy in the office who can always dish out a good prank but can’t take it when he is the brunt of a joke? They represent one of life’s annoyances that we all have to deal with while we roll our eyes and curse under our breath. It turns out that Code Pink may fit into this category when it comes to having people show up to their turf to protest.

Free Republic held a small protest in front of the Code Pink House yesterday complaining that the DC district is ignoring zoning violations being carried out by Code Pink. During the protest the police showed up three times, the Fire Department showed up looking for the smell of burning paper and a Veteran was pulled over to investigate a complaint of erratic driving. As it turns out no laws were broken by group gathering peacefully, no paper was burned, and the Veteran had been parked outside of the Code Pink House during the reported episode of wild driving. Its unknown who placed all of the false reports but the timing is suspicious.

Code Pink has a long history of bringing politics into residential zones. They often protested outside of Donald Rumsfeld’s house , and they are still camped out in Nancy Pelosi’s neighborhood. Notice I said Nancy Pelosi’s neighborhood because they can’t camp outside of Nancy Pelosi’s house having been relegated to harassing her neighbors instead. The group has even started a web site to keep up the daily antics of hounding Nancy Pelosi at home.

The issue of protesting in front of the Code Pink House isn’t going to just go away. Code Pink needs to follow the zone ordinances that any ordinary citizen would be required to follow. Their response to all of this will sounds like it’s going to be both interesting and entertaining

Code Pink’s motto: We can do whatever we want but don’t you dare do to us what we do to you!
